A Search Notice Issued for Artem Khachatryan, Son of Former PEP Head Gagik Khachatryan
The son of the former head of the State Revenue Committee, Gagik Khachatryan, Artem Khachatryan, has been declared a suspect in a criminal case being investigated by the NSS. The court has chosen imprisonment as the measure of restraint against him, and a search notice has been issued.
This information was provided today by Arthur Poghosyan, the head of the NSS investigative department, in response to a written inquiry from ‘Armenian Times’.
According to him, Artem Khachatryan has been involved as a suspect in embezzlement of particularly large amounts, receiving bribes in particularly large amounts, assisting in the abuse of official powers with serious consequences, and laundering especially large amounts of money (under Article 38-179, Part 3, Point 1, Article 190, Part 3, Point 1 (two episodes), Article 38-308, Part 2, and Article 38-311).
