The AATC Continues Inspections

By the decision of the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, the activities of several dozen businesses that violated safety regulations have been suspended in the capital and regions as of June 5. This information was disseminated by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

“The decision is based on reports compiled during continuous monitoring by the Health and Labor Inspection of Armenia. In addition to 24-hour suspensions, decisions for 48 and 72-hour suspensions are also made in cases where violations are combined and pose a higher risk from the perspective of public health.

The suspended businesses include branches of well-known and large supermarket and pharmacy chains, banks, manufacturing facilities, dental clinics, and beauty salons, which had recorded instances of crowding, non-wearing or improper wearing of masks, lack of markings, excessively close placement of workstations, and issues related to maintaining social distance, disinfection, temperature measurement, and more.

The AATC inspections also record cases of repeated violations when the same issues continue to persist at the same business entity. The inspection body reminds that in such cases, stricter administrative measures will be applied.

To prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, strict monitoring of compliance with safety norms is ongoing, and surprise inspections continue. Complaints submitted via the “hotline” and online are taken as the basis for monitoring.
