National Center for Disease Control and Prevention Acquires 4,600 Swabs for 2,300 Samples, Ministry Spokesperson
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention has acquired 4,600 swabs for 2,300 samples (two swabs are used for each sample), as reported by Alina Nikoghosyan, the spokesperson for the Minister of Health, on her Facebook page today, June 5. She specifically noted, “As it is around the world, there is currently a shortage of sampling swabs needed to detect coronavirus disease in Armenia.”
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention acquired these 4,600 swabs for 2,300 samples yesterday. A distribution of 600 swabs for 300 samples has been made to the primary healthcare sector, particularly to Yerevan's 17th polyclinic. I would like to inform that a large batch of swabs is expected in the coming days, which will be distributed to the institutions conducting the sampling.
