Overloaded Transport Vehicles Identified During Inspections
On June 4, experts from the Armenian Ministry of Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety conducted enhanced and extensive oversight along with the Armenian Road Police in the Ajapnyak administrative district. As part of the monitoring activities on regularly operated routes, several violations and shortcomings were identified. In particular, it was noted that minibuses were transporting passengers with two persons seated at the front seat simultaneously. Some vehicles lacked disinfectant liquid, and both drivers and passengers were observed without masks and gloves. Overloaded transport vehicles were also discovered.
Based on these violations, the Road Police have drawn up several reports. In addition to conducting checks, the inspectors are also carrying out active awareness-raising and explanatory work on-site. Continuous monitoring is actively being conducted in other administrative districts of Yerevan and across all regions of the republic.
The Ministry of Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety urges everyone to strictly adhere to the instructions and safety rules set by the government to protect the health of our citizens.
