Ararat Woman Who Was Not Hospitalized for 9 Days Now Has Bilateral Pneumonia
67-year-old Tigran Tadevosyan from the village of Azatavank in the Ararat region is in critical condition as his relatives report that despite being in a high-risk group and showing symptoms of coronavirus for several days, he has not been tested or hospitalized. His daughter, Mariam Tadevosyan, told NEWS.am that the district doctor visited, stating that he could be treated at home, while her father’s condition continues to deteriorate.
“He has been very ill all night, with a fever rising to 38.5 degrees, and he is struggling to breathe from the cough. It’s been so terrible; he hasn’t slept for a minute. The hospital doctor came and barely looked at him yesterday, saying there is no plan to take you to the hospital,” she said.
Just a few days ago, Mariam raised alarms about her 66-year-old mother, who tested positive for coronavirus but was also not hospitalized. She reported that her mother had been in poor condition for 9 days, and after numerous calls, she was tested on the 6th day. Although they had said they would transfer her to the hospital, they failed to do so by the 9th day.
After the press coverage, the woman was finally taken to the hospital, where it was revealed that she has bilateral pneumonia, and today she had to be connected to an oxygen device.
“Now our doctor has checked my father and said his lungs are 90 percent clear, but my mother had the same diagnosis, and it later turned out she had pneumonia. We want at least my father to be under the supervision of doctors, especially since he had lung issues years ago,” she said.
