Torosyan Displeased with Zeynalanyan's Participation in State of Emergency Meetings: 'Hayastani Jhoghovurd'

Participation of Narek Zeynalanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'My Step' faction and chairman of the Permanent Committee on Health and Social Issues, in the state of emergency meetings continues to spark interesting discussions. It should be noted that for the past week, Committee Chairman Narek Zeynalanyan has been attending these meetings at the invitation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

It is no secret that relations between Narek Zeynalanyan and the Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan are tense, and we have periodically witnessed this in National Assembly committee or plenary sessions. Recently, we learned that Torosyan has expressed discontent regarding Zeynalanyan's participation in the state of emergency meetings; however, he has remained silent considering that this decision was made by the Prime Minister.

Moreover, the latter has given his consent for Zeynalanyan to establish a professional discussion platform that is expected to meet regularly, conduct discussions, and present them to the state of emergency committee. Notably, the first meeting of this platform was held on Saturday. On May 30, Zeynalanyan organized a closed discussion in parliament about the efforts being made to combat the coronavirus in Armenia.

The 'Hayastani Jhoghovurd' newspaper reports that during the professional discussion, a comprehensive program for combating the coronavirus was developed, consisting of several strategic directions.
