Students Arrive in Groups of 5 or 10 to Receive Certificates: What Happened at School No. 132

At Yerevan's School No. 132, a photograph taken from the yard and shared by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page as an example of not adhering to social distancing, certificates and books were handed out today, June 3. The school's principal, Lilit Hovhannisyan, informed NEWS.am about this.

"A schedule was prepared, and students arrived according to that schedule in groups of 5 or 10. We did not allow anyone inside the building; outside, in the yard, there was a table where students approached in turn to receive their certificates, sign, and then hand over their books before leaving," she said.

The principal noted that after the photo was published, she was summoned by the city hall, where she provided an explanation on how the process was organized. At the same time, the principal did not accept that proper norms were not followed, considering that it was an open space.

It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had shared the photograph on his Facebook page with the following comment: According to the user, School No. 132 in Yerevan, Aram Khachaturyan Street, right now.
