Police in Vagharshapat Reveal Illegal Drug Trafficking Cases

The police officers of the Vagharshapat division have uncovered cases of illegal drug trafficking. This information is provided by the police's public relations department.

On the night of May 30, officers from the Vagharshapat division's criminal investigation unit received operational data indicating that a 36-year-old man registered in the capital was in possession of and using drugs. The suspect was located in the village of Parakar and taken to the division. During a personal search, two packages containing a substance resembling marijuana weighing over 65 grams were found. According to the detainee, the substance was indeed a narcotic.

Recently, the Vagharshapat division police uncovered another case of illegal drug trafficking. This time, the suspect was located in the city of Ejmiatsin and taken to the division. During the search of a 22-year-old resident of Yerevan, a substance resembling methamphetamine, as well as marijuana, was discovered. The items were confiscated. Examinations have been designated. The circumstances of the cases are under investigation.
