Missile Discovered in Kotayk Province; Military Sappers Transfer It to Barracks
On June 2, at 17:23, the National Crisis Management Center received information that a missile-like object had been spotted approximately 10 km from the village of Akunk in the fields, and assistance from sappers was needed. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A combat team from the fire-rescue unit of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. The rescuers found a missile-like object measuring about 120 cm in length and 70 cm in diameter, located approximately 20 km from the village in the fields.
The rescuers secured the area. Military sappers from the Ministry of Defense's N military unit arrived on site. It was determined that the missile did not pose a danger, and it was subsequently transported to the military unit by the sappers.
