Czech Republic and Slovakia to Open Shared Border from June 4

On Thursday, June 4, the Czech Republic and Slovakia will fully open their national borders, which had been closed to the free movement of citizens and goods amid pandemic conditions.

The corresponding agreement was reached between Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovič, who visited Prague on Wednesday.

The improvement of the epidemiological situation in both republics has allowed authorities to lift the restrictions on the movement of their residents across the territories of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
