Commencement of the Return Process of the Circular Park to the Public by Central Administrative District Head Avet Poghosyan

The return process of the Circular Park to the public is commencing. The renovation project for the 6th section of the park is moving into the practical phase. The return of the park to the public is one of the priority programs being implemented in the capital and will be realized in the coming months, regardless of the current challenges in the country and cuts in certain budget expenditures. This was stated by the head of the Central Administrative District, Avet Poghosyan, on his Facebook page.

“Under the direct care of Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, the renovation program approved will bring the currently dilapidated park into a new appearance. Illegal structures that have been neglected for years in the park will be dismantled, the areas will be greened, new lighting and irrigation networks will be installed, and modern furnishing work will be carried out.

Work on the construction of a public skate park is already ongoing adjacent to this section of the Circular Park. During today's tour of the park, we clarified upcoming tasks with the responsible parties — to improve the area as quickly as possible, to make it safe and comfortable for citizens, and to return the park to the public section by section with new solutions, while preserving and expanding the green areas,” he wrote.
