Child Attacked by Dogs in Gyumri Undergoes Serious Facial Surgery
A 2.5-year-old child who was attacked by a pack of stray dogs in the yard of a house in Gyumri is showing positive dynamics in health. The child has been discharged from the intensive care unit and has been transferred to the maxillofacial department. The condition is assessed as stable, and there is no threat to life. The child remains under strict medical supervision, as confirmed by the hospital’s spokesperson Gevorg Derzian.
The child was transported to the "Gyumri Austrian Hospital for Mother and Child" with numerous injuries and bite wounds, where the initial surgery was performed. Subsequently, the child was transferred to Yerevan’s "Saint Astvatsamayr" Medical Center. Here, the child underwent a second surgery involving serious maxillofacial surgical interventions.
