A 21-Year-Old Villager Stabbed 3 Residents of Aragatsavan Village

On June 3, 2020, at different times, the "Taline" medical center received reports that three residents of Aragatsavan village had been admitted with serious injuries, including a stab wound to the left chest, a stab-cut wound to the right side of the chest, and a stab wound to the abdominal wall, as well as a stab wound to the right knee. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under the first part of the second paragraph of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code (deliberately causing serious harm to health) at the Talin Investigation Department of the Aragatsotn Regional Investigation Directorate. The preliminary investigation has been entrusted to an investigative group.

Several investigative actions have been undertaken, including an examination of the crime scene, where blood traces were discovered, the victims’ clothing was seized, and several individuals were interrogated. Forensic examinations have been appointed.

As a result of investigative and procedural actions carried out in the criminal case, as well as operational-search measures, it was established that during an argument regarding overtaking a car, a 21-year-old villager stabbed the three residents of Aragatsavan village.

Immediate investigative and other procedural actions are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the case, to identify the person who committed the apparent crime, and to present them to the prosecuting authority. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
