The State Revenue Committee Releases Annual Comprehensive Tax Audit Program

The State Revenue Committee has published its annual program for comprehensive audits for the period from July 1, 2020, to July 1, 2021. This was reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the SRC.

In line with its adopted policy, the Committee reduces the number of comprehensive tax audits year by year. Priority is given to the use of analytical tools, which facilitates self-declaration by taxpayers, ensuring real indicators.

The established program plans to conduct comprehensive tax audits for 839 taxpayers, which is approximately 7 percent less than the quantity from the previous year (the list approved last year included 900 taxpayers). Notably, about 97% of the taxpayers included in this year’s approved program belong to the high-risk category (last year this figure was 70%).

The sales turnover of the taxpayers included in the annual comprehensive tax audit program for 2019 constitutes more than 50% of the declared figures of all taxpayers. Therefore, with less bureaucracy and a smaller number of taxpayers, a relatively large volume of reported sales turnover will be subject to comprehensive audits.

The program for comprehensive tax audits to be conducted from July 1, 2020, to July 1, 2021, is available on the official website of the SRC in the “Tax Information” section under the “Planned Audits by the State Revenue Committee” subsection via the following link.
