Fire Breaks Out in Former School Building of Arghel Village
On June 1, at 15:55, the National Crisis Management Center received a call about a fire in a non-operational school near the 'Haypost' in Arghel village.
A group from the Kotayk regional rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, four fire-fighting teams, and two fire-fighting teams from the Yerevan rescue service were dispatched to the scene.
It was found that the fire had started in one of the second-floor rooms and in the roof structure of a two-story former school located at 17/2 First Street in the village (1300 sq. m).
The fire was contained by 19:38 and extinguished by 21:09. Two rooms (approximately 80 sq. m) on the second floor, along with wooden structures in the roof (approximately 800 sq. m), were burned.
