Export of Goods Restricted by EAEU and Prime Minister's Decisions: State Revenue Committee
The State Revenue Committee has announced that enhanced monitoring is being implemented regarding the export of goods listed in the decisions of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU) and the Armenian Prime Minister.
According to the EAEU Collegium's decision No. 41 dated March 24, 2020, the export of a group of medical goods from the EAEU customs territory is prohibited until September 30, 2020, inclusive. In accordance with the EAEU Collegium's decision No. 43 dated March 31, 2020, the export of certain agricultural goods is also prohibited until June 30, 2020, inclusive.
Additionally, temporary restrictions have been established on the export of certain products intended for medical use from Armenia, as per the Prime Minister's decision No. 31 dated April 3, 2020. Within the framework of the program aimed at ensuring tax and customs discipline in light of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Armenia, the customs authority has prevented the export of a number of products listed in the aforementioned decisions.
In cases of detected exports, the State Revenue Committee submits a written inquiry to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, which provides its written approval or prohibits the export.
Goods that are not subject to transshipment are registered by customs authorities and are then transported across the territory of Armenia under the escort of the Armenian police.
