Information about the secret order to keep coronavirus victims anonymous was not unexpected for me – Aghasi Yenokyan
Political scientist Aghasi Yenokyan wrote on his Facebook page: “The news from yesterday that Nikol Pashinyan has issued a special secret order for coronavirus victims to remain anonymous was not unexpected for me. I recalled an old story, about 25 years ago when we were gathered somewhere, if I remember correctly in the editorial office’s ‘bésedka’, and we were chatting, drinking, and arguing. Nikol, who was still a young journalist, was telling us about some program that could save Armenia. Our late friend Tigran Hayrapetyan smiled with his kind smile and advised, ‘Nikol, you don’t need to save the Armenian people, you don’t need to try to save the homeland. Try to save one person, a specific person with a name and surname. It’s easier to save an abstract motherland.’
