Two Suspects in Kapan Brawl Case Detained

Two suspects in the Kapan brawl case, Khoren Mirzoyan and Levon Hambardzumyan, have been detained. This was reported to NEWS.am by lawyer Varduhi Elbakyan.

The court made the decision yesterday, based on the operational investigative situation of the case.

Earlier, the court had refused to detain another suspect in the same case, Marat Stepanyan.

The charges in the brawl case have been brought under Article 131, Part 2, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, concerning kidnapping by a group of individuals by prior agreement.

Today, the court will announce its decision regarding the detention of Levon Hambardzumyan's brother, another defendant, Babken Hambardzumyan.
