VIDEO: Bus Driver Fined 100,000 Drams for Allegedly Having Standing Passenger, But No Such Thing Happened

Today, at 11:43 AM on Tigran Mets Boulevard, police fined the driver of bus number 44 100,000 drams, claiming that there was a standing passenger in the vehicle. However, such a situation did not occur. The woman boarded the bus at the same stop, and the driver insisted several times that she should get off, but the woman refused, stating that she was running late. The driver had not yet moved when a policewoman began recording, and the driver was ordered off the bus.

This incident was reported by Facebook user Kar Saribekyan, who shared a video of the event. "All the passengers got off and stated that the woman had boarded from the same stop and was not standing, but who was listening? People are just doing 'their job'. Moreover, the woman did not even approach the inspector to explain what had happened. So many people are saying the same thing, but it doesn’t matter... All the passengers wrote down their numbers to support the driver later as witnesses to the event (there are still good and principled people in our nation)."

"What is this driver doing that he has to pay a fine of 100,000 drams for some absurd story, you ask? I should mention that when we boarded the bus, the driver was carefully checking to ensure all passengers were wearing gloves and masks. Either do your job properly or don't bother at all," the user wrote.
