Doctors Conducting Coronavirus Tests Infected; Astghik Medical Center Provides Details
Astghik Medical Center has stated that its healthcare workers infected with the coronavirus did not have contact with patients undergoing treatment at the hospital. This information was shared with Sputnik Armenia by the center's public relations director, Lusine Petrosyan.
According to her, the infected doctors worked in a specially designated isolation unit and did not come into contact with visitors in the main department. Petrosyan emphasized, "Patients with Covid-19 are not treated at Astghik Medical Center. Moreover, all patients undergo free PCR testing before being admitted to the hospital in order to ensure the safety of their further treatment."
The testing is conducted in an isolation area organized next to the hospital. Only patients who receive negative test results are admitted to the hospital. Those who test positive are transferred to other hospitals designated for the treatment of coronavirus.
