Car Burned by Azerbaijani Gunfire, But Not Servicing the Battalion Commander: Ministry of Defense Spokesperson
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Shushan Stepanyan, addressed circulating news regarding the incident where "a Nissan Patrol vehicle belonging to the commander of one of the Armenian military units burned as a result of Azerbaijani gunfire yesterday."
“Such incidents are not excluded during the daily activities of the forces; skirmishes occur at the border every day, which results in damages to both our and the enemy’s military equipment. The situation in the Nakhijevan area, particularly in the mentioned direction, is relatively stable and manageable, with no concerning developments observed. The incident took place in the interpositional area near new fortifications being built by the Armenian armed forces. Yes, the vehicle was burned, but it does not service the battalion commander,” she wrote.
“As a result of the responsive actions from the Armenian Armed Forces units, the enemy is consistently suppressed; however, unlike some Armenian media, unfortunately, Azerbaijani outlets do not report on this,” she added.
