583 Violations of Mask and Glove Wearing Rules Detected

The police continue effective oversight across the Republic to prevent the possible spread of the new coronavirus and ensure compliance with the requirements of the decisions made by the Commandant. Police units have identified 65 transport vehicles carrying passengers who were not wearing protective gear.

According to the Commandant's decision, it is prohibited for passengers to sit next to the driver in taxi vehicles. Additionally, both taxi drivers and passengers are required to wear masks and gloves. The service of external police units is ongoing around the clock.

A total of 583 cases of violations of these regulations have been detected. Police officers patrolling the streets are checking for the presence of masks among citizens in public places, which is mandatory. In public areas, 357 individuals have been identified without masks. Relevant reports have been compiled for all violations.

Police officers, in cooperation with staff from other ministries and agencies, are also conducting preventive measures in courtyards, visiting the homes of citizens in self-isolation to ascertain whether there are any violators of the established rules. They are also conducting inspection visits to businesses in the retail and public catering sectors to check whether employees and customers are wearing masks.
