COVID-19 Cases Confirmed at Yerevan Municipality, Says Mayor

Several employees of the Yerevan Municipality have tested positive for COVID-19. According to Armenpress, this was announced by Mayor Hayk Marutyan during a session of the city council.

“Thank you for being present in such large numbers today—51 members of the council. I also appreciate everyone coming to the session wearing masks. Since March, both the municipality and the council have consistently had everyone wear masks during council meetings. We have adhered to safety protocols during the pandemic,” Marutyan stated.

He informed that despite this, there are confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the municipality, although they are quite few.

Ninety-one deaths have been recorded due to COVID-19. Additionally, there have been 39 cases where patients tested positive for the virus, but passed away due to other health conditions.
