«Who are you to interrupt me?» Gevorg Petrosyan to Nikolay Baghdasaryan

The permanent commission on state and legal issues of the National Assembly continued its meeting today, which had been interrupted on Saturday, with 17 items on the agenda. Today, the draft proposed by the members of the Prosperous Armenia faction was discussed, which suggests examining disputes containing insult and defamation in a short time frame. Representatives of the judicial authority also attended the meeting and expressed their opposition.

Co-author of the draft Gevorg Petrosyan criticized the opinion of the President of the Supreme Court. “Human dignity must be inviolable; it should be a primary object of protection. And if the state does not have the capacity to have that many judges today, do not distort the truth and come here to say something else,” emphasized Gevorg Petrosyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia faction.

At that moment, one of the commission members, Nikolay Baghdasaryan from the My Step faction, said something that was not heard, to which Gevorg Petrosyan responded, “But who gave you the right to speak? Stay within your limits.” A quarrel started between them, and Gevorg Petrosyan said, “Who are you to interrupt me?”
