Restrictions to be Implemented in Sevan Community from May 25 to June 3
The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, has signed a new decision regarding the restrictions applied in the Sevan community of the Gegharkunik province.
According to point 7 of the annex of the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision number 298-N dated March 16, 2020, concerning the declaration of a state of emergency in the Republic of Armenia:
- Special restrictions are to be applied in the Sevan community of Gegharkunik province:
- Establish a special regime for entering and exiting the administrative boundaries of the community, prohibiting individuals and vehicles from entering and exiting, with the exception of movements for essential goods, supplies, food, medications, and fuel.
- An exception to the restriction for entering the Sevan community has been set until May 25, 2020, at 13:00, allowing entry for those with permanent residence rights or actual residents.
- To ensure the implementation of this special regime, checkpoints and inspection points will be established in specified locations by the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia and the Police of the Republic of Armenia for inspecting allowed individuals and vehicles entering the administrative territory of Sevan.
- Temporary restrictions on types of economic activities in the Sevan community have been established according to Table 1.
- The Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan; the Director of the National Security Service, Eduard Martirosyan; the Chief of Police, Arman Sargsyan; and the Governor of Gegharkunik Province, Gnel Sanosyan, are tasked with ensuring the implementation of this decision.
- This decision comes into force on May 25, 2020, at 06:00 and remains effective until June 3, 2020, at 23:59.
