Instead of the President's Photo, Allocate the Most Visible Corner for Our Fallen Heroes' Photographs: Arayik Harutyunyan
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, writes on his Facebook page:
“Dear compatriots, today I want to address the mandatory phenomenon of having the President’s photo in the offices of high-ranking state officials. If it is perceived as a manifestation of respect for the state by that official or citizen, then my appeal and wish is that henceforth, instead of the President’s photo, the most visible corner of those offices be allocated for the photographs of our fallen relatives or heroes.
This is my first decision, if you want to perceive it this way, as the President of the Republic of Artsakh. They have paid with their lives for the construction of a free, just, and dignified future for our people so that we, the living, can realize their message. Therefore, let every official who has a place in the forming government start each working day by looking into the eyes of our fallen heroes and have the courage to ask themselves whether they are ready to continue their sacred mission.
The honor of our fallen sons is our conscience regarding our тяжелое and difficult past, our achieved and cherished present, and the bright and prosperous future, the architect of which is each one of us. Our sincere respect and humility are worthless if we fail in our duties.
P.S. We will definitely complete the planting of the memorial forest dedicated to every victim of the Artsakh liberation struggle in the upcoming years. Additionally, patriotic and military education will hold a special place in our lives and activities.”
