COVID-19 Reaches Russia's Cosmonaut Training Center: 19 Employees Test Positive
Nineteen employees at Russia's cosmonaut training center have tested positive for COVID-19. No infections have been reported among the cosmonauts themselves. This was announced by the press office of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center.
The statement notes that most of the infected individuals have already recovered, and the center is resuming training for cosmonauts.
Earlier, it was reported that a total of 64 people at the cosmonaut training center had contracted the novel coronavirus. Of these, 29 underwent testing, with positive results coming back for them. Seventeen of the patients are experiencing acute respiratory infections and pneumonia, while the others are asymptomatic.
