Higher Education in Artsakh to Become Free Starting September 1

The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, has sent a congratulatory message to graduates on his Facebook page:

“Dear graduates, the pandemic that has plagued the world has unfortunately deprived all of us this year of the opportunity to organize a 'Last Bell' celebration. However, I am confident that the disappointment caused by the situation will not hinder each of you from making the necessary efforts to achieve your goals. Remember, any crisis is also an opportunity.

After graduating from school, a very important phase of your life begins, where the measures of quality and efficiency will again be the level of knowledge and skills demonstrated. Therefore, whatever profession you choose in life, always remember that you should be a leader in your field.

In accordance with our electoral promise, starting September 1, higher education in Artsakh will become free. However, I want to reiterate that the state's demands regarding the quality of education will be stringent. Consequently, never let the desire to learn and continuously improve leave you.

Dear graduates, I congratulate you and your teachers on the occasion of the 'Last Bell' and wish that all your dreams and ideas come true for your personal and our collective successes. Good luck!”
