Georgia's Situation in the Region is the Most Favorable Amid Covid-19
According to the latest data from Russia, there have been 8,894 new cases recorded in 84 regions of the country. The total number of infected individuals has reached 326,448. A total of 7,144 people have recovered. As of May 22, there has been a record number of 150 deaths reported.
In total, 99,825 people have recovered, and 3,249 individuals have died from the coronavirus in Russia. Russia ranks second worldwide in the number of infections, only behind the United States.
In Turkey, the number of coronavirus infections has increased by 961, with 27 deaths reported. Overall, there are 153,548 infected individuals in the country, with 115,000 having recovered and over 4,000 fatalities.

Azerbaijan reports 3,749 infected individuals, with 44 deaths. Currently, 1,365 patients are being treated, and 2,340 have recovered. A total of 252,496 tests have been conducted in the country.
As of May 22, Armenia has reported 5,928 cases of the coronavirus, an increase of 332 compared to the previous day. The total number of deaths due to the virus is 74, with another 28 attributed to other causes. Overall, 2,874 patients have recovered.
Currently, 2,952 patients are undergoing treatment for the coronavirus. A total of 47,654 tests have been conducted in Armenia.
The state of emergency, which has been in effect since March 16, has been extended until June 13 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus; however, public transportation has been operational since May 18, and cafes, restaurants, shopping centers, and gyms have reopened.
