I consider it very important for effective cooperation to take place between the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh: Pashinyan

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, held a private meeting with the newly elected President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, in Stepanakert.

“Mr. Prime Minister, first I want to thank you for your participation in the inauguration ceremony and for the words and thoughts you expressed. These were sincere words from a leader of the country, and I view everything within the realm of concern and advice. I want to announce today again that I am ready to share the burden, the challenges that our people and the Armenian world are currently facing. I express my gratitude for your participation,” said Araik Harutyunyan.

“Thank you, Mr. President. First, allow me once again to congratulate you on your election as President of the Republic of Artsakh and on your inauguration. Indeed, impressive events took place yesterday, and they were impressive primarily in terms of content. While we were walking here, I said that a very good atmosphere has been established in Artsakh, and I believe that our task is to maintain this atmosphere at this level and to further develop it. And of course, I consider it very important for effective cooperation to take place between the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh; all the necessary prerequisites for this are in place. I am confident it will be so,” emphasized Prime Minister Pashinyan.

“I definitely agree with the Prime Minister. I view our society as a single whole; there is no Armenian people and Artsakh people, there is the Armenian people, and based on that principle, we must maintain and develop the atmosphere. The prerequisites that have currently been created in Artsakh, not only in terms of moral and psychological aspects but also regarding the development of the economy, social programs, and repatriation, everything can be accomplished through joint efforts. Thank you again, Mr. Prime Minister,” concluded the newly elected President of Artsakh.

Following this, Nikol Pashinyan and Araik Harutyunyan continued their meeting with the participation of the ministers of foreign affairs of Armenia and Artsakh, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Masis Mayilian.
