Hraparak: The Deputy Minister Called Smbat Gogyan to a Boys' Dispute
Hraparak newspaper reports: Recently, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Grisha Tamrazyan, called Smbat Gogyan, the former chairman of the National Accreditation Committee, to a boys' dispute after Gogyan had the audacity to make "sour" remarks about acting rector of the Armenian State University of Economics, Diana Galoyan.
The meeting took place near Gogyan's home, during which Tamrazyan demanded an "accountability" from Gogyan. It is noteworthy that Gogyan had stated that Galoyan's doctoral dissertation contained plagiarized content, yet she occupies the position due to Tamrazyan's patronage. "His tenure is a value choice between me and him," Gogyan emphasized.
Fortunately, the dispute did not escalate into a physical confrontation, although according to sources from the ministry, Tamrazyan attempted to slap him and had even tested the aggression on one of the deputy ministers.
By the way, Gogyan also met with Prime Minister Pashinyan yesterday to clarify the circumstances surrounding his resignation. We asked Smbat Gogyan if such a meeting took place near his house. "I do not call that a meeting; for me, a meeting is constructive and practical," he replied. So, was it just a boys' chat? "I do not comment on that."
