Armenian Prime Minister to Attend Inauguration of Newly Elected President of Artsakh

The newly elected President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, will have Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan present at his inauguration ceremony. This was announced by the public relations department of the Prime Minister's office in response to an inquiry by Armenpress.

The special session of the National Assembly dedicated to Araik Harutyunyan's assumption of office will take place on May 21 at 18:00 in the auditorium of the Cultural and Youth Center in Shushi. It has been reported that journalists will not be allowed into the auditorium.

Araik Harutyunyan was elected president as a result of the second round of presidential elections held on April 15. He is the leader of the “Free Homeland” party. In the second round, he competed against Minister of Foreign Affairs Masis Mayilyan. The voting for the first round had taken place on March 31.
