VIDEO: Let’s Try to Find This Woman. She Is a Chef Who Is Not Protecting Herself from Coronavirus
“I don’t believe in this nonsense, show me proof. I am the head chef, and I’m late for work on my first day, now who is going to take responsibility?” says the woman who was removed from public transport for not wearing a mask or gloves.
The reactions to the video circulating online have been severe. The spokesperson for the State Food Safety Service, Anush Harutyunyan, wrote on her Facebook page: “Please share. Let’s try to find this woman... The operation of the kitchen or public food service where this woman works must be suspended,” she stated.
The video has also drawn comments from the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alen Simonian. “Let’s say the person is a chef; she can’t make it to work, and that’s good, because if she needs to come to work without a mask and gloves to prepare food for people, it’s better if she doesn’t go to work,” Simonian wrote on his Facebook page.
“Dear chef, if you usually don’t wear gloves and a mask while preparing food, please tell us where you work so we don’t patronize that place,” Facebook users are sharing the video along with these comments.
Despite the harsh reactions and the intention to close the food service point, it should be noted that the woman might be wearing a mask and gloves at her workplace. Additionally, the establishment's management is required to provide protective equipment for employees.
