In connection with the murders and attempted murders that occurred between 2003 and 2018, a criminal case has revealed several circumstances under investigation by the Main Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.
Investigators have obtained factual data indicating that on September 30, 2003, a suspect wanted for murder obtained a Georgian passport using false information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and traveled to France. On June 20, 2011, by the decree of the President of the RA, the suspect was granted RA citizenship under false information, and on October 31, 2011, he received an RA passport from the Department of Passports and Visas, after which he illegally crossed the RA state border multiple times from March 23, 2012, to August 24, 2016, using this passport.
From November 1, 2011, the suspect was accepted into service at the RA Ministry of Defense under a labor contract with false credentials, being appointed as the deputy head of the training unit of a military formation.
