Fire in Yerevan: Smoke-inhaled Child Hospitalized at Holy Mother of God Medical Center
On May 8, at 16:58, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting a fire at building number 64 on Araratyan Street in Yerevan. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Two firefighting brigades from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the fire had started on the first floor of the building's second entrance. Rescuers conducted evacuation operations for the residents (8 people).
Maria A. (born in 2012), who suffered from smoke inhalation, was hospitalized at the Holy Mother of God Medical Center, where her health condition was assessed as good by doctors. The fire was isolated at 17:28 and extinguished by 17:30. An electric cable (2 meters) and two gas meters were burned on the first floor, while the electric panel was completely destroyed on the second floor.
