Gunshots in Nor Nork: Suspect Detained

Gunshots were heard in Yerevan today, May 7. According to Shamshyan.com, around 4:00 AM, the officers of the 2nd platoon of the 3rd special battalion of the Yerevan City Police Department heard gunfire while on duty in the Nor Nork administrative district.

The police cordoned off the area adjacent to 29/5 Moldovan Street and detained 42-year-old resident Yenok M. on suspicion of carrying and using illegal firearms.

According to the website's information, two spent cartridges from a “Makarov”-type pistol were found during the investigation of the crime scene, and Yenok M. was found to possess a “Makarov”-type pistol with one magazine and three 9mm cartridges. Investigative materials are being prepared in connection with the incident.

As per the investigator's decision, the pistol has been confiscated, and forensic and investigative examinations have been appointed.
