Criminal Case Launched Due to Stabbing Incident in Sari Tag Sent to Court
The investigation into the stabbing incident that occurred in Sari Tag has concluded at the Erevan Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
As a result of investigative and procedural actions carried out during the pre-trial proceedings, several circumstances and motives of the incident have been clarified.
On January 1, 2020, at around 8:30 PM, a 47-year-old man got into a dispute over household issues with a 40-year-old resident of Sari Tag, during which he struck the latter in the face. The victim fell onto debris from vehicles, and subsequently, the assailant inflicted multiple stab wounds on various parts of his body with a knife in his possession, intentionally causing serious damage threatening life.
Based on the gathered evidence, the 47-year-old man has been charged under Article 112 (intentional infliction of serious bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Armenia, with the chosen measure of restraint being a signature not to leave. The investigation has concluded, and the criminal case has been sent to court with an accusatory conclusion.
