VIDEO: Dam Collapse in Uzbekistan Leaves Over 50 Injured

Dozens of thousands of residents have been evacuated in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan due to a dam collapse. The incident, which occurred near the border of the two countries, has flooded residential areas along both riverbanks, as reported by Reuters.

According to RIA Novosti, 56 people have been injured. Approximately 70,000 people have been evacuated in Uzbekistan, while 5,400 have been evacuated in Kazakhstan. In total, 22 villages have been affected by the disaster.

Upon arriving at the scene, the President of Uzbekistan stated that the situation is under control.
