Video: I Asked the Armenian Embassy in Russia for Permission to Familiarize Myself with Hotline Operations and Film Them - Naira Baghdasaryan

Naira Baghdasaryan has published a video on her Facebook page along with the following message: “The Armenian Embassy in Russia has been addressing the issues of Armenian citizens who have found themselves in difficult situations in Russia for more than a month now. The embassy has received nearly 3000 applications so far, and most of these citizens wish to return to Armenia for various reasons: some have lost their jobs, others are unwell, and some face housing issues. For those who have serious housing problems, the embassy has accommodated them in hotels in Moscow until a flight becomes available. The conditions of the hotels vary. Those traveling with children or with health issues are placed in hotels, while younger men without health issues are housed in dormitories. There are families that do not have return or housing issues but currently live in difficult social conditions. The embassy is also in touch with them.

Yesterday, I promised Ms. Gayane Tonoyan, one of the citizens who wrote to me, that I would try to find out if her application had been received because citizens waiting for flights often complain that they register but their names do not appear on the waiting list, which the embassy periodically publishes on its official page. Therefore, I asked the Armenian Embassy in Russia for permission to familiarize myself with their hotline operations and to film them, so that our citizens can better understand the work process that results in the processing of their applications. In the video, Aram Voskanyan from the embassy's press service and Edgar Khachatryan, head of the protocol department, present the entire process of their work.”
