Fire Erupts in Elevator Shaft of Building in Abovyan City, 60 Residents Evacuated

On April 30, at 16:08, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that smoke was observed in the elevator shaft of building number 26 on Republic Street in Abovyan City, Kotayk province.

Four firefighting teams, an aerial ladder, and a special response unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. A total of 60 residents from the building were evacuated.

The fire was contained at 17:12 and extinguished by 17:31. Approximately 10 square meters of garbage burned in the elevator shaft.
