Finance Minister Edbon Marukyan Says There Is No Money Despite High Salary

“The Finance Minister is spreading misinformation when he says there is no free money. As a result of last year’s unfulfilled capital construction, there is 380 billion drams in the account. That is the people's money, which the government does not want to give to the people,” said Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia faction, during a conversation with reporters today.

According to Marukyan, “populism is exactly when a Finance Minister earning 1.5 million drams says there is no money.”

“On May 14, when people are told to go to work, thousands will discover that their jobs no longer exist,” he added.
