Police Detain Mikayel Margaryan Protesting Power Outages

Police detained singer-songwriter Mikayel Margaryan, who was conducting a solo protest in front of the government building.

During a conversation with the police, he explained his presence there by showing them a movement sheet: “The commander has decided that we cannot hold a protest, but he has also decided that we must pay our utility bills. The government does not want to listen to us, sending the police instead,” said the citizen.

Noticing MP Sasun Mikayelyan, the singer attempted to approach him, shouting, “Mr. Sasun Mikayelyan, please intervene!” However, the police pulled him away and detained him.
