Citizens Who Lost Their Jobs Will Receive 200 Lari Assistance for 6 Months: Georgian Prime Minister
Employees who have lost their jobs or have been placed on unpaid leave will receive 1200 Lari in assistance over a six-month period, announced Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, presenting an anti-crisis economic program, as reported by 1tv.ge.
According to him, the aid will amount to 200 Lari per month.
“As of today, this scheme will help each of our citizens receive social assistance. All those who have lost their jobs during the crisis, after the state of emergency was declared, and who were officially employed but no longer receive a salary will receive assistance of 1200 Lari, which means that such people will receive 200 Lari every month. Once again, the stability of this assistance has been critically important for us. We understand and want to emphasize that we are helping each citizen with an amount of 1200 Lari by providing 200 Lari per month (more than 30,000 Drams),” said the Prime Minister.
