Nissan Teana Collides with Barrier and Ignites Near Yerevan Mall, 3 Injured Including 2 Minors
On April 21, at 18:27, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting a traffic accident involving a fire near the "Yerevan Mall" shopping center on Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan. Two fire-rescue teams from the Yerevan rescue department were dispatched to the scene.
It was found that a Nissan Teana, driven by David D. (born in 1998), had veered off the roadway and collided with a barrier, resulting in a fire breaking out. Before the arrival of the rescuers, passengers Nancy P. (16 years old), Amalya M. (16 years old), and Arthur K. (29 years old) were extracted from the vehicle by local residents and hospitalized at "Erebuni Medical Center," where doctors assessed their condition as satisfactory.
Firefighters managed to isolate the fire by 18:38 and extinguished it by 18:39. The engine compartment was partially burned.
