Driver of Opel Hits Two Pedestrians in Yerevan; Victims Taken to Hospital

A pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan earlier this evening. Around 21:40, the driver of an Opel vehicle with the license plate number 35 CD 929 struck two pedestrians on Tamantsiner Street.

According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and assisted in transporting the injured to the ‘Erebuni’ medical center.

Responding quickly, inspectors Tigran Mazmanyan and Hayk Chorekyan from the 5th platoon of the Road Police’s 1st Patrol Division arrived at the scene. Additionally, a duty crew of emergency doctors from Yerevan’s 1-03 emergency service provided immediate first aid to the injured before transporting them to the hospital.

Senior Inspector Karen Gevorgyan from the Road Police’s 1st Patrol Division escorted the victims to the hospital. Information regarding the incident was communicated by Mikhail Agababyan, the on-duty officer of the Yerevan Road Police operational management center, to the division responsible for investigating traffic accidents and conducting administrative procedures, which sent a response team led by Division Chief Khachik Samvelyan and investigator Gevorg Minasian.

Materials are being prepared by G. Minasian regarding the incident. The police are working to identify the driver and the victims of the accident.
