3 out of 6 Expensive Pine Trees Planted Yesterday Stolen from the 'Circular' Park
Employees of the Greenery and Environmental Protection Municipal Organization noticed in the morning that 3 out of the 6 expensive pine trees planted yesterday in the sixth section of the 'Circular' park had been stolen.
While the Greenery and Environmental Protection Municipal Organization is tirelessly working to restore Yerevan's once green areas, vandals are destroying the seedlings. The theft of cypress and boxwood has been followed by that of the pines, causing further damage to Yerevan's green spaces.
It is noteworthy that coniferous species have special methods for transportation, which the thief cannot maintain. Therefore, the stolen trees are doomed to drying out. Additionally, these trees purify the air of bacteria and various microbes thanks to their phytocides, while simultaneously emitting large amounts of oxygen, according to the Municipal Organization's statement.
