First Case of Coronavirus Reported in Gegharkunik Province: Governor

Gegharkunik Governor Gnel Sanosyan announced on his Facebook page that the first case of coronavirus infection has been recorded in the province. Until now, Gegharkunik was the only region without reported cases of infection.

“Gegharkunik 1: Unfortunately, we are no longer the only ones...,” the governor wrote.

As of April 11, there are 977 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Armenia. The number of those recovered is 173, meaning that 24 people have recovered in a single day. Currently, 780 people are undergoing treatment, while 8,464 tests have returned negative. The total death toll stands at 13.
