Easter Celebrated Under State of Emergency

Today is Holy Week, and the Easter vigil is being held behind closed doors. Easter is one of the greatest celebrations of our church and people. This year, we observe it under special circumstances, within a state of emergency.

According to church regulations, a new day begins after the evening service. In the evening, the Holy Vigil is celebrated, culminating in the proclamation of the glorious Resurrection of the Savior: “Christ is risen from the dead; blessed is the resurrection of Christ!” This proclamation marks the end of Lent.
