Video: 18-Year-Old Villager Stabbed, Police Report
According to a report from the police, on the early morning of April 6, the "Vagharshapat" medical center contacted the police department of Vagharshapat, reporting that a young man from the village of Aknalich had been stabbed and was being transferred to the hospital. Operational groups from the department and Aknalich arrived at the medical facility, along with criminal investigators from the Armavir regional department.
A 25-year-old man stated that he had sustained the injuries from a fall. However, through collaborative investigation, police determined that he had been stabbed by a fellow villager. Following explanatory work, on April 9, an 18-year-old suspect presented himself to the Vagharshapat police department and provided a confession. Subsequent measures led to the recovery of the knife used in the incident.
An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the case and the motive behind the act.
