Two More Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus in Artsakh
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh reports that during the day, tests conducted on individuals revealed that two people have tested positive for COVID-19.
The first infected individual is a family member of a confirmed case in the Mirik community (the health condition is assessed as satisfactory). The second case involves a resident of the town of Karvachar in the Shahumyan region (born in 1951) who was admitted to the Republican Medical Center with bilateral pneumonia and an epidemiological history. Their health condition is currently assessed as moderate severity and they also have accompanying chronic diseases.
Family members of the mentioned individual have been in self-isolation for the past three days under strict medical supervision, and the circles of individuals who have had close contact with the patient, as well as potential contacts, are being determined. We will provide more detailed information on this topic later.
The test results of other citizens tested throughout the day, including two police officers, were negative, indicating that no coronavirus infection has been confirmed as a result of the tests.
